The Meinl AE-MTA2BO is a high-quality headless tambourine from the Artisan series. It was designed especially for the most demanding of musicians and features two rows of eight specially shaped brass jingles that produce a powerful and bright sound. The ergonomically shaped handle and its slight, 70-gram weight make it a breeze to play this instrument for extended periods of time.

Dit is een prachtige beatring met een mooi klassiek geluid. Deze beatring kan een goede klankkleur geven aan klassieke muziek en aan traditionele stijlen zoals de Tarantella, maar ook aan Samba en Bossanova. Voor een kleine setting produceert deze beatring een te hoog volume en is dus goed inzetbaar in grote orkesten. Deze beatring weegt in de hand 447 gram, en is daarmee niet licht. Ik heb hem gekocht ter vervanging / aanvulling van de 506 gram zware Meinl TMT1 B-BK. Ik heb daarmee het speelgemak door middel van een lichter gewicht niet bereikt. Een halve kilo heen en weer schudden blijft een belastende klus voor de onderarm. Ik vermoed dat een beatring met een enkele rij jingles meer uitkomst brengt om een gewichtsbesparing te bereiken. Een prachtige beatring, maar geen lichtgewicht. Een instrument voor powerplayers! Mijn waardering wordt dan ook mede beïnvloed door het ervaren speelgemak!
